The Minister of Expedition Planning (M.E.P.) for BecauseItzThere.com is none other than Brian Regan, aka, this guy.
The Minister of Expedition Planning has an important job, which is to plan the adventures that appear on this blog. Among the duties of the Minister are:
- Inspired bursts of genius
- Being able to read squiggly lines on a map
- Daydreaming
- Confused paralysis
- Blaming others for mistakes
- Damage control when the expedition becomes ‘misplaced’
- Worrying about everything
- Over analyzing
- Underestimating
- Repeatedly saying, “What could possibly go wrong?”
- Being somewhere else when things do go wrong
- Denying/shifting responsibility
- Repeating over and over, “Well, that’s what the damned guidebook said!”
- Quoting Dwight Eisenhower as an excuse for shabby planning
The Minister works closely with the copilot to work out all details of our adventures. We can honestly say that nothing has EVER gone wrong as a result of the Ministers careful planning.!
